Industrial/alt. rock act Warm Gadget has signed with Re:Mission Entertainment for the release of a new album, with today revealing the lead single, “The Masses.” The song addresses the “original, free thinker,” with sly jabs at the echo chamber mentality that champions party affiliation and in-group rhetoric over informed decision making; societal violence and tribal politics also find their way into the song, wrought with grungy percussion and guitars, ’80s-flavored synths, and belligerent vocals. Now available digitally on Bandcamp, “The Masses” is the first offering from Sorrows, which follows up on Warm Gadget’s 2021 Rituals EP; appearing in the interim since then has been the band’s remixes for HEALTH and Screaming, as well as the “Lost Weekend” single for Component Records’ For Peace. Against War. Who is Not? Ukraine benefit compilation.
