This coming Valentine’s Day will see the arrival of the latest album from electro/shoegaze act Vision Eternel, marking the culmination of a decade-long journey for founder Alexander Julien. Echoes From Forgotten Hearts had begun life in 2014 as a soundtrack album to a motion picture that was ultimately never completed, thus the album never being given a proper release; the new deluxe reissue will feature 23 tracks remastered by Carl Saff (Sonic Youth, Guided By Voices), and presented in a factory-numbered double-tape box set with new artwork by Rain Frances (Vision Eternel, Soufferance) and Michael Koelsch (The Offspring, Elvis Presley). Also included in Echoes From Forgotten Hearts will be an 80-page novella detailing the reasons for the soundtrack’s initial delay, along with a selection of rare pictures. As with all entries in the Vision Eternel discography, Echoes From Forgotten Hearts will be released on February 14, 2024 via Geertruida, with pre-orders soon to be announced via the label’s website along with an exclusive premiere of a previously unreleased song, as well as details for a free box set giveaway. The album will also be released digitally, with pre-orders soon to appear via the Vision Eternel Bandcamp page.
