The release of SINE’s sophomore full-length record this past November was supposed to mark the culmination of the Austin-based electro/industrial artist’s Mantis trilogy; however, Rona Rougeheart was clearly not ready to say goodbye to the series just yet as today has seen the release of Mantis 3. The new album presents “a deeper dive” into the Mantis series with eight remixes, two of which had already been revealed – the Sour Gout remix of “Blurred” was on the aforementioned Mantis Complete, while the Wanz Dover D and the B remix of “Until” was released as a standalone single on September 16, 2022. The remaining tracks showcase remixes by kETvECTOR (Justin Bennett, also of Skinny Puppy, Die So Fluid, and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult), Matt McJunkins (A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Poppy), Future Blondes, Textbeak, David M. Williams, and Xqui. Mantis 3 was released today, June 9, via eMERGENCY hEARTS, and is available digitally on Bandcamp and Spotify.
