Making its premiere here on ReGen Magazine is the new music video from Ohio electro/industrial act Toothpinch for the track “Shelter In Place.” As the project’s eighth official single, the song was released digitally on May 11 and features Toothpinch collaborating with three other fellow underground rabble rousers – California’s Accumortis on bass, post-punk and trip-hop artist Bess on vocals, and Texas’ own SPANKTHENUN on noises and beats – after putting out a call on social media to work together on the track. Toothpinch explains that “Bess and I have worked on numerous tracks together,” while he and Accumortis were both featured on the first and third editions of Nowhere Now Records’ compilation series, and that he had created remixes for SPANKTHENUN, three of which will be featured on the upcoming GLITCH BURN SIN EP due for release on June 26. As the title suggests, “Shelter In Place” lyrically addresses the current COVID-19 crisis, specifically inspired by the shelter in place orders put into effect to slow the curve of the virus, while the video was compiled from various bits of footage provided by each of the cooperating artists.
