Wrangler, featuring Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire, announces new album

English electronic group Wrangler has announced the release of the upcoming album, White Glue for September 23 via MemeTune. The current project of Stephen Mallinder, most renowned as a member of English proto-industrial group Cabaret Voltaire, with band mates Phil Winter and Benge, White Glue follows Wrangler’s debut album, released in 2014 and the Sparked: Modular Remix Project release earlier this year; that latter album featured remixes by the likes of Mute Records founder Daniel Miller, Chris Carter of Throbbing Gristle and Chris & Cosey, Nine Inch Nails member Allesandro Cortini, among others. White Glue was recorded at the MemeTune Studios, run by Benge, and will feature nine tracks with “the 3-D depth of analogue, but there’s less geek and more funk; more Mod than Modular in its tailored, minimalist design.”
