Scatter Factory – the solo project of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and arranger Will Foster – has released its eponymous debut album via the artist’s own Flecktone Recordings. Composed, performed, produced, and mixed by Foster himself, the album blends motorik electronic with dream-pop and ambient genres while also making imaginative use of field recordings. “I’m still in the background,” says Foster, “but now there’s nobody else there with me.” In addition, the album cover was designed by James Marsh, renowned for numerous covers for Talk Talk.
Foster was previously a member of acclaimed art-pop band Delicatessen, has written string arrangements for Cocteau Twins’ Simon Raymonde, and has performed and recorded with numerous other acts.
Preceded by the Out the Blocks and Pow Wow singles, Scatter Factory is now available in digital and CD digipak formats.
