VNV Nation announces orchestral releaseElectro/futurepop act VNV Nation has announced the release of Resonance, featuring several of the band’s best known songs performed with no electronic instrumentation by the Babelsberg Film Orchestra. Recorded at the orchestra’s historic studio in Potsdam (next to the stage where Fritz Lang’s legendary Metropolis was shot), Resonance is set for release on May 15 in multiple formats, including CD and a deluxe limited edition that will feature both CD and vinyl. The box set – on which VNV Nation states to have taken inspiration from the style of 78 Shellac Records – will contain a 32 page book, the CD edition of the album, and six 10″ LP discs, while a regular vinyl double album edition will be released several weeks after the CD and box set.
Pre-orders for the CD and box set are now available via Storming the Base.
