The Black Queen to announce tour dates, The Dillinger Escape Plan label partners with Cooking VinylParty Smasher Inc. – a collective network for music, art, and fashion – has announced a global partnership with Cooking Vinyl. Founded by Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan in 2009, Party Smasher Inc. was established to “celebrate the artists that are following their own path, undeterred by the trends.” Among the three major releases planned by the imprint for 2016 is the sixth album by The Dillinger Escape Plan, following 2013’s One of Us Is the Killer. Founded in 1986, Cooking Vinyl’s roster includes such high profile acts as Marilyn Manson, The Prodigy, and The Cranberries; label director Rob Collins states, “We share the vision that Party Smasher has. They bring the art, we bring muscle. I couldn’t be more excited about this partnership.”
In addition, The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato will be performing at this year’s ColdWaves V in Chicago with The Black Queen, the electronic trio featuring Puciato, Joshua Eustis (former member of Nine Inch Nails and Puscifer) and Steven Alexander (former tech for Nine Inch Nails and The Dillinger Escape Plan). The band has stated that further tour dates would be announced for such cities as London, Moscow, Amsterdam, and Warsaw, among others throughout Europe and Russia. The Black Queen’s debut album, Fever Daydream was released in January of this year.
Prior to The Black Queen, Puciato had collaborated with Nine Inch Nails’ Atticus Ross as a member of Error, releasing a self-titled EP in 2004.
