Glenn Danzig has announced the release of a new album, tentatively due in late 2015 or early 2016. The as yet untitled album will be his first album of original material since 2010’s Red Deth Sabaoth, once again featuring the lineup including former Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly, who has been a touring member of Danzig since 2002, and Tommy Victor of Prong, who first appeared with Danzig on the 2004 album Circle of Snakes. Deth Red Sabaoth was the band’s highest charting album since 1994’s Danzig 4, peaking at the No. 35 position on the Billboard 200 and selling 11,700 copies in the United States. Work on the upcoming tenth album reportedly began in February of 2014. Photos from the recording sessions were recently posted via Danzig’s website and Facebook.
In addition, Danzig recently completed work on an album of Elvis Presley covers, due for release in late spring.
