Swans announces next EP, next live datesSwans will release its newest EP, Oxygen, on November 25 digitally. The EP title comes from its most recent album, To Be Kind, released earlier this year. The four-track EP features an edit of “Oxygen” by Mute founder Daniel Miller, a live version from Primavera, an early version recorded at Gira’s home and an acoustic version recorded at StudioMute.
Additionally, the band has announced upcoming performance dates, including an appearance at Drill : Brighton Festival on December 7 and London’s historic Roundhouse on May 21, 2015. More live dates are available through Swans’ website.
Swans toured this summer in support of its album To Be Kind. released through Young Gods and Mute Records. Led by Michael Gira, Swans formed in 1982 and, after disbanding in 1997, returned with the critically acclaimed albums My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky in 2010 and The Seer in 2012.
