English production team Soulsavers have collaborated with Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan on their newest album, The Light the Dead See. “It was a complete collaboration,” says Soulsavers co-founder Rich Machin. “There was no real script, Dave brought a lot to the table.” Says David Gahan, “Everything about it was relatively unplanned, surprising: a magical thing. We were a perfect match and I’m very, very excited about this record.”
The Light the Dead See, out May 21 on Mute Records, is a follow-up to Soulsavers’ 2009 album Broken. “The Longest Day,” the album’s first single, is currently available to stream on the Cooperative Music Soundcloud.
