Shrapnel Streetwear launches EDM/bass music inspired clothing line for 2013Clothing manufacturer Shrapnel Streetwear, in association with FiXT Music, will be releasing a new line of “authentic dubstep fashion” intended to further define street fashion in the bass music culture. Shrapnel is set to release its new collection in 2013, which the company states will “evoke chaos and create conversations.”
According to a Shrapnel press release, the collection is filled with “futuristic imagery, showing mid-battle moments set against apocalyptic backgrounds” and “vividly depicts cyborgs and androids in the midst of a world war.” Aside from the new designs, Shrapnel is also introducing more womens items this time, including shoulder crop-tops, racerbank tanks, and color-printed tights. New items for men include tank tops, hoodies, and other accessories.
The brand was created by artists and bass music fans Devin Taylor and Zach Gibson. Taylor is a graphic artist and designer who has created merchandise for artists/bands such as Excision, Figure, Falling in Reverse, and Motionless in White. Gibson is a veteran DJ and producer who has opened for Skrillex, Dieselboy, and Korn.
