Having released the debut Star Blood EP in 2016, Las Vegas/Hollywood based dark rock act Red Queen has unveiled the official music video for the track “Insidious,” which originally premiered on Revolver Magazine. The video, like the music from Star Blood was created by Red Queen – Elena Vladi and Patrick Crisci – with additional footage shot by Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films. According to Vladi, “This song tells a personal story of a toxic relationship between two people, when love becomes very much like a drug addiction that slowly destroys you but also keeps you blinded on the edge of being high and oblivious.” Adding to the video’s D.I.Y. aesthetic, Vladi also designed the wardrobe, staging, makeup, and jewelry. Also appearing in the video are Austin After Dark and Red Queen live members The Phantoms. The Star Blood EP was released on April 5, 2016, featuring “Insidious,” “Alchemy,” and the band’s first single “Naked,” along with two re-recorded songs from Vladi’s previous band Demona Mortiss. An independent entity that is self managed and self produced, Red Queen is currently in the process of creating new music and forming a live show with plans to tour, release new music videos, and a full-length album in 2017.
