Lindemann, the new band featuring Rammstein front man Till Linemann and renowned producer/musician Peter Tägtgren, will be releasing its debut album in May, titled Skills in Pills. The project was first hinted at by Rammstein guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe during an interview with Metal Hammer Magaazine promoting his sophomore Emigrate release; “Till’s doing some kind of solo thing, but I haven’t heard anything,” Kruspe stated; “We’ve been through so many years together, we’ve lost contact in a way.” Kruspe continued in the interview regarding Rammstein’s future plans, “I think, at the moment, everyone does his own thing. I think it’s important because, again, Rammstein was always a band that took their time, that listened to themselves, listened to what they need, how much time they need between albums.” Rammstein’s last album release was the 2009 album Liebe ist für Alle Da, followed by the Made in Germany 1995-2011 greatest hits album in 2011, with plans to release a series of live DVDs.
Pär Hulkoff – vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist for Swedish industrial/metal band Raubtier – stated of his opportunity to hear Lindemann’s music, “The small parts I heard really blew my mind. This will echo in eternity.”
