Primitive Race streams first single from upcoming albumIndustrial/rock supergroup Primitive Race has unveiled the first single from the upcoming self-titled album, titled “Follow the Leader,” via New Noise Magazine. Featuring lyrics and vocals by Graham Crabb of Pop Will Eat Itself, band founder Chris Kniker says of the song, “Everyone has their head buried at all times in their smartphones. People seem more interested in the latest celebrity trash and freemium games than dealing with real issues. We follow a global Oligarchy of the ruling class, politicians, religious zealots, and corporate leaders dictate their will on us with no questions asked.” He also states, “It really captures the back handed meaning of Primitive Race.”
Primitive Race is scheduled for release on August 7 via Metropolis Records; the album was mastered by Maor Appelbaum and will feature numerous collaborations with such luminaries of the industrial/rock scene as Eric Loch (Blownload, Exageist), Tommy Victor (Prong), Joshua Bradford (Stayte, RevCo, Simple Shelter), Mark Gemini Thwaite (Peter Murphy), and Kourtney Klein (Combichrist, Nitzer Ebb). Pre-orders for the album are available via Metropolis Records’ website and Bandcamp.
