Potential side project between Tool and Skinny Puppy? While fans wait for Tool’s next album, drummer Danny Carey hinted at his own recent activity: a side project with Skinny Puppy’s cEvin Key. When speaking with UK magazine Rhythm about his recent work, Carey told them: “I played on some Collide tracks… I’ve done a few things with Skinny Puppy in the past. Actually, me and cEvin Key from Skinny Puppy have a project in the works right now. John Frusciante might play guitar…” The full interview can be read at http://invisible-movement.net/2013/01/danny-carrey-on-possibility-of-working-with-john. Carey had performed live drums on the Skinny Puppy track “Use Less” on 2004’s The Greater Wrong of the Right. John Frusciante, former guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, last released solo work in 2012.
