The lord of lard, the maestro of industrial malignancy PIG has premiered the music video for “Found In Filth” from the new album The Gospel via Revolver Magazine. This marks the second video release from the album, which vocalist/programmer/guitarist Raymond Watts describes as “a collection of cautionary and caustic songs,” full of “tales of wickedness and woe.” Of the video, he comments, “Here you find the recently baptized in the parish of pork. The lapsed, the lazy, and the loose…” Both the video for “Found In Filth” and the preceding “The Diamond Sinners” were directed by Erie Loch (Primitive Race, Blownload).
The video, true to its seedy and sleazy title and lyrical themes, features an amalgam of S&M imagery and the band’s live lineup, including former KMFDM band mates Günter Schulz and En Esch, ex-Combichrist keyboardist Z.Marr, and drummer Galen Waling (Left Spine Down, Julien-K, Hate Dept.); guitarist/songwriter Mark Gemini Thwaite also appears in the video, having co-written seven of The Gospel‘s 11 tracks. The album will be released September 9 on Metropolis Records, with PIG going on the American Excess tour on September 6, including a stop at this year’s ColdWaves V event in Chicago on September 24.
