New Order announces first new album since 2005New Order has announced the release of Music Complete, the band’s first new full-length studio album since 2005’s Waiting for the Siren’s Call, via Mute Records. The album – due out on September 25 – will be released in multiple formats, including CD, download, black vinyl, and a limited edition clear vinyl, as well as a deluxe edition featuring extended versions of all 11 tracks. Pre-orders for the album are available via the New Order website.
Music Complete is produced by New Order, with additional production from Tom Rowlands and Stuart Price, while longtime collaborator Peter Saville provided art direction. The album features the return of original keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, who departed from regular activity with the band after 2001’s Get Ready; the album also marks the band’s first release without original bassist Peter Hook, who departed from New Order in 2007.
