Belgian electronic act Metroland’s song, “The Passenger” from 2012’s Mind the Gap has been selected as the soundtrack for the Stockholm Metro’s official promotional video. Although it may seem a strange honor to those not familiar with the Stockholm Metro, the transit system has long been a patron of the arts and is renowned as the world’s longest art gallery, featuring themed stations, artwork, and installations by more than 150 artists. The accompanying video was created by award winning Swedish design firm Familjenpangea and can be viewed on YouTube.
In addition, Metroland has released the track “Brothers” as the final single to be taken from the album Things Will Never sound the Same. The group has also announced a remix contest for the track, with the winning remixes to be included on the official remix single. Submissions must be received before June 30, 2016 to be considered.
