Members of Einstürzende Neubauten, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and more create Grimm-inspired soundtrackAlexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten, Crime & The City Solution), Mick Harvey (co-founder of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds), Danielle de Picciotto (co-founder of Germany’s ‘Love Parade’ and member of Crime & The City Solution) and Paul Wallfisch (musical director at the Theater Dortmund) have joined forces to form The Ministry of Wolves for the soundtrack Music from ‘Republik der Wölfe’, to accompany the theatre production by Claudia Bauer. The album is based on the writings of the Brothers Grimm, in particular Anne Sexton’s ‘Transformations’ (1971), the Pulitzer Prize winning poet’s reworking of the Grimm’s fairy tales. The album is currently available through iTunes and Amazon Germany and U.K. Tracks can be streamed through the Soundcloud player embedded on the Neubaten website.
