Lindemann – the new project featuring Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann and producer/musician Peter Tägtgren – has stated that the band has already begun working on a second album; the debut Skills in Pills album has not yet been released. “We’re rolling already,” says Tägtgren; “We were already writing stupid lyrics when we were drunk and shit. We’re going at it. We’re going to go as long as we have inspiration.” In addition, Tägtgren has stated that his band mate will begin working on a new Rammstein album in September, saying “Till is going to go back to Rammstein in September to begin pre-production stuff.” This follows Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe’s earlier statements that the band had no plans for an album but would reconvene in a year to decide their future; it has been stated that new material for Rammstein’s seventh album may take up to two years.
Regarding Lindemann’s new material, he goes on to say, “Maybe it stops at five songs but at least we have half an album done. It’s just so easy to write music together. No pressure. We do it because we can.”
Skills in Pills is slated to be released on June 23 via Warner Bros. Records. A music video for the song “Praise Abort” was posted to YouTube in May, while a teaser clip featuring all of the album tracks followed soon after.
