Laibach announce new album and tour plansIndustrial collective Laibach plans to release a new album, entitled Spectre, on March 4, with plans to follow up with a European and Asian tour. This marks the group’s first album release since 2006’s Volk, as well as the side projects of LaibachKunstDerfuge and the soundtrack to the film Iron Sky. In contrast to past works by Laibach demonstrating a neautral point of view, with Spectre, the group makes firm politically charged declarations with songs such as “No Mercy,” in which Laibach calls for action and bravery, as well as “The Whistleblowers,” which alludes to the heroism of such figures as Julian Assange, Bradley Manning, and Edward Snowden.
A trailer for Spectre is now available via the Laibach YouTube page. The album will be available in CD, digital, and vinyl formats.
