Information Society to release new singleLong running synthpop act Information Society will release its newest single Land of the Blind on March 4 via Hakatak International, reuniting the original founding members of the band. “On this record we were aiming to make a classic Information Society album, something that people would have no trouble identifying as Information Society,” says synth player and co-founder Paul Robb. The single includes a bonus B-side cover of “Me and My Rhythm Box” from the cult film Liquid SkyLand of the Blind is the first taste of the forthcoming new album _Hello World, which will be released Summer 2014. The band premiered its lyric video for the single through Huffington Post.
Originally forming in 1982, Information Society (a.k.a. “InSoc”) initially broke into the mainstream via the Latin underground with the 1985 freestyle dance single “Running,” which twice became a Top Ten Billboard Dance chart hit – once in 1986 and then again in 2001. InSoc last released the Modulator EP in 2009.
