IAMX has announced an 18 date Fall 2016 tour in support of a newly released mini-album, Everything Is Burning (Metanoia Addendum). The album is broken into two parts: part one consisting of seven all new tracks of throbbing, pounding machines accompanied by mercurial vocals soaring from whispers to screams; part two is a collection of remixes from IAMX’s previous album, Metatonia, by Gary Numan, Future Funk Squad, Marat Sad (Sam Lockwood of The Jezabels), Mr.Kitty, Depeche Mode’s Christian Eigner and his partner Niko Stoessl, and Aesthetic Perfection. IAMX front man and Sneaker Pimps co-founder Chris Corner credits his music as, “basically my public therapy. It’s my way of being able to connect with the world, to pour my heart out and dance at the same time.” After wrestling with personal demons, which nearly led him to quit music entirely, Corner “realized that it wasn’t the music that was hurting me. It was just that I had to reprogram myself to approach things in a different way, and it became very clear to me that I still wanted to make music more than ever.” IAMX’s previous release, 2015’s Metanoia was the beginning of his musical reawakening; Everything Is Burning (Metanoia Addendum) continues the journey onward and inward. The tour kicks off September 9 in Mexico City and wraps up October 18 in Los Angeles. The album and tour tickets are available now at via the IAMX website.
