Front 242 releases new single, announces remix contestPioneering electronic music act Front 242 has announced the release of a new single, featuring a remastered version of the band’s classic “Lovely Day,” alone with the RadicalG mix of “Take One.” Available as a pay-what-you-want release on Bandcamp, the single is intended as a teaser for the upcoming remastered edition of the band’s 1984 album, No comment; this new version of the album will be available in both CD and vinyl editions, showcasing the improvements and differences made possible by today’s audio technology.
In addition, Front 242 has announced a remix competition whereby fans can remix “Take One;” links for the remix kits area available in the *.PDF file that accompanies the single. A second free download single will be release on August 30 to include the band’s top three favorite remixes, with the deadline for submissions set for August 15.
