Erasure announces fourteenth studio albumEnglish synthpop duo Erasure will release its newest album, Snow Globe, on November 11 through Mute Records. Snow Globe, the band’s fifteenth studio album, is Erasure’s take on the winter holiday season, featuring original compositions and seasonal classics, such as the traditional Latin carol “Gaudete.” Erasure takes a “wistful and subdued” approach to the holiday songs: “We managed to strip everything back to bare essentials,” says co-founder Vince Clark. “’White Christmas’ almost has a drone all the way through it. I love that.” Snow Globe follows the 2011 release of Tomorrow’s World. Erasure’s popularity recently surged in 2010 with the inclusion of the track “Always” on the flash game Robot Unicorn Attack.
