Drowning Susan to release new single, proceeds to be donated for animal welfareSeattle electro/industrial act Drowning Susan has announced a new single, titled “Consumed by the Signal,” to be released on January 26 via the band’s Bandcamp. Included with the new track will be remixes by Primitive Race, mind.area, AI-Zero, and regular Drowning Susan collaborator Tara Saavedra of Violette Syn “Consumed by the Signal” will be available for consumers to “Name Your Own Price,” with proceeds going to the Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). In addition, the band will convert all 15 items of its back catalog to “Name Your Own Price,” with the proceeds from all sales until March 31 to go to PAWS. “Consumed by the Signal” marks Drowning Susan’s first release of new material since Resonate, released in summer, 2014. Saavedra also made an appearance as guest vocalist on several tracks on Jesse Remixed, the latest album from Microwaved, including a duet with Gravity Kills vocalist Jeff Scheel on a cover of the Animotion hit “Obsession,” produced by Sean Payne of Cyanotic.
