The ColdWaves Music Festival celebrates its sixth year in 2017, marking the fifth consecutive year that the event will be held at The Metro, one of Chicago’s most renowned and longstanding music venues. While traditionally a two-day festival with Kick-Off and After parties held on additional dates, ColdWaves VI’s dates have been announced for September 29, 30, and October 1. As of this posting, the lineup of bands for this year’s event have not yet been announced.
ColdWaves was founded in 2012 by Cracknation’s Jason Novak as a memorial tribute concert dedicated to the memory of his musical partner Jamie Duffy; since then, it has grown into one of the Windy City’s most widely anticipated concert and charity events, raising awareness and funds for suicide prevention charities like Hope for the Day and Darkest Before Dawn.
More information on this year’s event will be reported as it is made public – stay tuned!
