The Crimson ProjeKCt announces summer tour datesKing Crimson offshoot The Crimson ProjeKCt has announced further live dates for summer, having recently completed an extensive run of shows in Europe to promote the release of the Live in Tokyo album. With plans to perform in New Zealand, Australia, Europe once again, and an exclusive one-off concert in the USA, the band states, “We’re extremely grateful to our fans and crew for having made our European Tour in March 2014 such an unexpected success. It was a very pleasant experience for all involved,” going on to say, “we are looking forward to seeing you.” The summer tour also welcomes new drummer Morgan Ågren, filling in for Tobias Ralph, who will be absent for three of the shows.
The Crimson ProjeKCt features King Crimson alumni Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Pat Mastelotto, along with Markus Reuter, Julie Slick, and Tobias Ralph, with the band’s repertoire focused primarily on the King Crimson catalog from the early ’80s to the mid ’90s.
