Attrition remodels classic track as New Year giftElectro/goth act Attrition has released as a free download via the band’s Bandcamp three new versions of “Acid Tongue,” originally released on the 1996 album 3 Arms and a Dead Cert. The single is offered as a gift to fans to celebrate the New Year, as well as a response to several other bands asking for copies of the master tracks to remix the song. According to Martin Bowes of Attrition, “I was asked recently if I had the masters for our song… and the vocals and viola on this album was recorded on 8-track analogue tape, so as I no longer have the machine, the aswer was going to be no.” He continues, “Until I chanced upon a DAT tape I had copied the audio parts over to in 2000.”
Of the three tracks, two are remixed by Germany’s BBCom, with the third remixed by Texas act Void Prototype.
