Athan Maroulis reissues his first record
Athan Maroulis reissues his first recordAthan Maroulis – best known as the front man for Spahn Ranch and NOIR – has reissued his very first record; originally released in 1986, House of Morals is the debut and only release from Fahrenheit 451. This 30th Anniversary Edition includes the original four track EP, produced by Roger Moutenot, as well as a demo of the track “Strangers on a Train” from 1985 as a bonus track. Recorded when Maroulis was 19-years-old, the album features a lineup that included bassist Pete Lisa, guitarist Shell Stewart, keyboardist/percussionist Nick Ferro, and drummer Ed Enzyme; in the band’s three short years, Fahrenheit 451 became a fixture of the NYC and NJ area circuit, opening for such acts as The Ramones and Gene Loves Jezebel. House of Morals is now available via Bandcamp in association with Gothique Records and Cleopatra Records.
