From Terrance Zdunich and Saar Hendelman – writers of The Devil’s Carnival – comes the third chapter in the American Murder Song series of murder ballads celebrating the darker parts of classic Americana, taking place in the summer of 1816. In particular, III. The Reckoning explores the crimes of desperation during “The Year Without a Summer,” with Lindsay Schoolcraft – live session player for Cradle of Filth – performing a narrated murder confession on the track “June.” III. The Reckoning was mixed by Cedrick Courtois and is now available to purchase via the American Murder Song website. In addition, free downloads of the EP are offering with purchase of pre-order tickets for the American Wake tour in fall, on which Zdunich and Hendelman will perform the music live and offer meet & greet opportunities – tour dates and tickets can be found via the American Murder Song website.
Other notable guests that have appeared on the previous EPs and music videos include The Birthday Massacre vocalist Sara “Chibi” Taylor, Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz, Aurelio Voltaire, Creature Feature’s Curtis Rx, Freakshow star Morgue, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Scott Morris (who produced the previous installments I. Dawn and II. Providence), and alternative model Ulorin Vex.
