Al Jourgensen signs with Nuclear Blast for Surgical Meth Machine debutSurgical Meth Machine, the new speed metal project from MINISTRY founder Al Jourgensen, has announced that the act has signed with prominent metal label Nuclear Blast. In addition, the cover artwork for the self-titled debut album has been unveiled, with the release dates to be announced soon. Jourgensen first announced the formation of Surgical Meth Machine with longtime collaborator, producer/engineer Sammy D’Ambruoso following the 2013 release of final MINISTRY album From Beer to Eternity, at which time he’d stated the band’s intention to produce a speed metal sound akin to “Side F/X Include Mikey’s Middle Finger (TV4)” in which every track would exceed 200BPM. Though MINISTRY has toured in support of From beer to Eternity throughout 2015 and 2016, Jourgensen has made clear that the band will not record any further albums after the death of longtime friend and guitarist Mike Scaccia in December, 2012.
