Aesthetic Perfection to release live acoustic/industrial albumElectro/industrial act Aesthetic Perfection has announced the release of the upcoming live album Imperfect. Recorded on August 31, 2013 at Complex in Glendale, CA, the performance was an entirely acoustic concert, free of any electronic instrumentation or backing tracks. The live band featured Aesthetic Perfection front man and vocalist Daniel Graves and drummer Tim Van Horn, with guest appearances by Lauren Krothe on piano, Marquis Howell III on upright bass, and Tim Skold on acoustic guitar. Songs performed at the show include several of the band’s hit singles, such as “Big Bad Wolf” and “Antibody” from the 2014 album ‘Til Death, and “Inhuman” from All Beauty Destroyed, along with other well known tracks like “The Great Depression” and “Devotion.”
“I was more musically vulnerable than I had ever been before,” states Graves of the performance; “The whole experience taught me that it’s okay to be vulnerable, it’s okay to be flawed, it’s okay to make mistakes…” He continues, “I’m just proud of what my friends and I accomplished, and I’m grateful to them for their hard work and creativity that made my vision come to life. I’m grateful to the fans who came and showed their support for an utterly absurd idea.”
As to the possibility of future acoustic performances, Graves hints, “Who knows? Maybe we’ll do this again sometime.”
Imperfect will be released on May 12, 2015 on Metropolis Records. Pre-orders for the album are now available via Storming the Base and the Metropolis Records webstore.
