Italian industrial/metal act Aborym has revealed details about the band’s upcoming seventh album, titled Shifting.negative, including a roster of quest musicians. Among them is Grammy nominated guitarist Sin Quirin (MINISTRY, Revolting Cocks, Society 1), Ricktor (The Electric Hellfire Club), Victor Love (Dope Stars Inc.), and legendary producer/manager Guido Elmi of Vasco Rossi, who is supervising the album’s post-production. Of Elmi’s involvement, front man Fabban comments, “We are working with a real professional, a true legend, probably our biggest fan and a great friend.” As the follow-up to 2013’s Dirty, Shifting.negative features a new band lineup that includes guitarists Dan V and Davide Riso, keyboardist Stefano Angiulli, and front man Fabban; Faust (a.k.a. Bård G. Eithun) departed the band in 2014 to rejoin Emperor for the band’s 20th anniversary performances of In the Nightside Eclipse.
Shifting.negative, mixed/mastered by Grammy winner Marc Urselli, with a cover created by renowned French artist David Cragne of Asymetric Entity, will be released via Agonia Records; no release date has been announced.
