16volt premieres new music video via Revolver

With the release of the band’s eighth studio album, The Negative Space, industrial/rock outfit 16volt has premiered the music video for the album’s opening track, “The Electric Pope,” via Revolver Magazine. Directed by Karl Whinnery, the video features styling by Wasteland Resources and depicts a hedonistic Mad Max-inspired environment; front man and machine rock/maestro Eric Powell states, “‘The Electric Pope’ is the hedonistic – yet incredibly motivated and positive – ‘come follow me to the land of sensory overload’ character on the record,” the video serving to portray “this happy absurdism.”
16volt will be performing at this year’s ColdWaves V event in Chicago on Saturday, September 24 alongside PIG, Cubanate, Kanga, and The Cocks; this marks the band’s third appearance at ColdWaves, with plans to embark on a full tour currently in the works.
