Belgian label Alfa Matrix will celebrate its seventh anniversary with the newest volume in its Re:connected series of compilations. Scheduled for a November 7 release, Re:connected [3.0] features exclusive tracks from every artist on the label's roster, including recent signings Komor Kommando, Shaun F. (the solo project of Glis founder Shaun Frandsen), Krystal System and Acylum. Re:connected [3.0] also features the return of DJ Rexx Arkana's Bruderschaft project with "Return," featuring Assemblage 23's Tom Shear on vocals and remixed by Imperative Reaction. In addition to 34 tracks on two CDs, this release also features a bonus DVD with previously unreleased music videos from such artists as Leaether Strip and Neikka RPM, as well as exclusive concert footage from I:Scintilla, Plastic Noise Experience and Tamtrum.

Canadian electro/industrial duo DYM's debut full-length album, The Invilid, is available now in North America from the COP International label. The Invilid will be released October 17 in Europe on the Noitekk label. The band will play a CD release show October 10 in their hometown of Toronto, Ontario. Visit the links for more information.

Einstürzende Neubauten vocalist Blixa Bargeld's solo debut, Commissioned Music, was reissued September 19. Originally released in 1995, Commissioned Music collects several of Bargeld's works for theater and film. The reissue features two additional songs as well as two music videos.

The Brainwaves 2008 festival will take place November 21-23 at the Regent Theatre in Boston, MA. The lineup features the North American debut of Peter Christopherson’s (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Coil, SoiSong) Threshold HouseBoys Choir, as well as J.G. Thirlwell's group Manorexia, Meat Beat Manifesto, Matmos, Little Annie, Major Stars, Silver Apples, Windy Weber and Thomas Meluch as Lambs Laughter, Reformed Faction, Glenn Jones, His Name Is Alive and video from Greater Than One. The soundtrack album to the upcoming industrial musical film Repo! The Genetic Opera is now available for purchase as a digital download. In addition to main cast members Alexa Vega (Spy Kids), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas), Bill Moseley (House of 1,000 Corpses, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and Anthony Head, the film features a number of special guest stars, including Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy, Sarah Brightman and even Paris Hilton.

The soundtrack features vocal contributions from all of the cast members, including Ogre, but also includes songs by David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets), Eric Powell (16Volt), Richard Patrick (Filter), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction, Porno for Pyros), Melora Creager (Rasputina), Clown (Slipknot), Ray Luzier (Korn), Joan Jett, Richard Fortus (Guns 'N Roses) and Tommy Clefetus (Rob Zombie) among others. Due to immigration issues, Canadian industrial punk band Left Spine Down have been forced to cancel their tour of the United States. Left Spine Down's American label, Bit Riot Records, was unable to secure visas for the band in time for their border crossing. Available now from Voiceprint Music is Let There Be Life, a two-disc compilation CD benefiting the Virginia J. Frank Ovarian Cancer Foundation. This release features songs from such artists as Jarboe, Collide, Hungry Lucy, Mankind Is Obsolete, Neikka RPM, All About Eve and Cosey Fanni Tutti among others.
