The duo of Ulf Lundblad and Fredrik Djurfeldt, who together comprise the aggro-masters of Swedish industrial known as Severe Illusion, blend harsh but intelligible and intelligent lyrics/text in close-to-the-spine vocals with old school at its finest and an ironic array of insightful and deep electronics. The music of Severe Illusion could be described as a static EBM/noisecore crossover with influences mainly from the Canadian scene of the late 1980s.
