Severe Illusion strike with Accomplishments of Leopold II

The duo of Ulf Lundblad and Fredrik Djurfeldt, who together comprise the aggro-masters of Swedish industrial known as Severe Illusion, blend harsh but intelligible and intelligent lyrics/text in close-to-the-spine vocals with old school at its finest and an ironic array of insightful and deep electronics. The music of Severe Illusion could be described as a static EBM/noisecore crossover with influences mainly from the Canadian scene of the late 1980s. The release of the new disc from these veterans delivers the darkest form of hardcore and provocative electro, challenging always our pedestrian ideas and leading us to the edge. The new Severe Illusion album Accomplishments of Leopold II is finally out, containing 17 tracks of riotous electronic music that expose the dark side of European history as you have never seen it exposed before. From the classic dance tracks to the raging distorted mayhem, little or no room is left for compromise. Ninety-seven years after his death, the king of Belgium is more notorious than ever before.
