Alec Empire to join electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick in special Paris performance
 
Radical artist and innovator Alec Empire – best known for his work in Atari Teenage Riot – will join electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick in a concert celebrating the 50 year anniversary of Subotnick’s seminal Silver Apples of the Moon album on March 16 in Paris, France. Empire cites the album as an early influence during his teenage years in divided Berlin, inspiring his own work in electronic dance music. [..]

NightPulse releases second single, music video
 
Dark pop artist NightPulse (renowned drummer Lena Zawaideh, formerly of Bad Things) has released a new music video for “The Rush” via Nasty Gal/Nasty Galaxy. Zawaideh explains that although the song is an up-tempo dance track, it has a deeper message about “chasing elusive highs. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. ‘The Rush’ takes us through the journey to insanity – from the highs to the lows and back again.” [..]

Fotocrime releases first single from upcoming debut album
 
Post-punk trio Fotocrime has announced its first full-length album, Principle of Pain as the follow-up to the band’s 2017 Always Hell EP. The album defines the group’s sound, with drum machines and analog synths set against traditional guitar rock. The album opener, “Nadia (Last Year’s Men)” has been released as a single and is up now on Fotocrime’s Bandcamp page and YouTube channel. [..]
