IAMX to release new album featuring Kat Von D
IAMX - Alive In New LightChris Corner has announced that the latest album from electro/rock project IAMX, Alive In New Light (AINL) will be released February 2, 2018. The record is a chronicle of metamorphasis celebrating the artist’s emergence from the depression which inspired his two previous releases, performed, recorded, and mixed in a trailer in the California desert “far from the Joshua Tree hippies.” Corner explains that the remote setting was imperative to his process, stating that “The desert is white noise. You can lose yourself in the details of producing, mixing; it’s just silence.” [..]

Artoffact reissues several albums from various cEvin Key projects
The elusive recordings of The Flu – the first collaborative project of Skinny Puppy’s cEvin Key and the late Alan Nelson, later to be known as Hilt – have been rediscovered and are soon to be released as a limited edition double vinyl reissue via Artoffact Records. Originally available only as self-distributed cassettes in 1987, the recordings feature vocals set against a mix of analog and electronic instruments, live singing cats, and recordings from tele-personals; they were set off to Swedish startup label Osmium Records, which folded shortly afterwards. Pro Patria returns with first new album in two decades

Society 1 releases eighth music video from latest album
Having released Rise from the Dead in March of this year, Hollywood industrial/metal group Society 1 has premiered the music video for the track “Souls on Fire.” Originally intended to present a more positive lyrical direction for the band, “Initially about the communion of souls and inner power illuminated with a symbolic burning fire,” vocalist/songwriter Matt Zane states that the song “took a sinister turn with time,” with the video being “more reminiscent of being trapped within an eternal hell.” [..]
