Amanda Palmer and Edward Ka-Spel premiere first music video from upcoming album
 
The Legendary Pink Dots’ Edward Ka-Spel and singer/songwriter Amanda Palmer have premiered the first video from the pair’s upcoming collaborative album, I Can Spin a Rainbow, due out May 5. The haunting, stop-motion video for “The Clock at the Back of the Cage” premiered on The Skinny, and was conceived and produced in Melbourne, Australia, by Palmer and directors Christy Louise Flaws, Chris Bennett, and Luke O’Connor. Palmer explains that, “Stop-motion seemed like the perfect choice; even when it’s beautiful and alluring, stop-motion is fundamentally creepy.” [..]

Khost to release third album in June
 
Khost – the Birmingham based death industrial/doom project of Andy Swan (Iroha, Final) and Damian B (Carthage, Gauge, Techno Animal) – will release a third full-length album, Governance, on UK experimental label Cold Spring Records. Produced and mixed by the band and mastered by Attrition’s Martin Bowes at his Cage Studio, Governance continues Khost’s fascination with detachment and dissonance, exploring “the exertion of wills that are not your own, and upon the ways to detect and trace the outlines of the presence(s) that may exert these daily wills upon you, day by day.” [..]

Baltimore artists Athena Hiotis and Nina Themelis team up to create inspirational video
 
Athena HiotisBaltimore based artist, composer, and producer Athena Hiotis (RÊVE, PopRiot Music Group) has collaborated with childhood friend and fellow artist Nina Themelis to create an inspirational concept video, “Unbreakable:Our Story.” Themelis says that she was excited to work on the project “because of how frequently our culture perpetuates the idea of women working in competition with one another.
