Aesthetische, the new project from Fab Viscardi and Gui Pires of Brazilian EBM act Aghast View, have signed with Belgian label Alfa Matrix and will release their debut album, Powerswitch, some time this year.

Chilean electro/industrial act Proyecto Crisis will release a remix collection, Made in Remixes, January 9 on Advoxya Records. The collection features remixes from the project’s 2009 release, Made in Chile, by such acts as Vigilante, C-Lekktor and Mangadrive.

A brand new song from Collide, “Intruder,” will be featured on the soundtrack to the forthcoming vampire action film, Underworld: Awakening. The soundtrack, which also includes songs from the likes of The Cure and Lacuna Coil, will be released January 17.

Faith and the Muse’s Monica Richards will release her second solo album, Naiades, this January. Accompanying the album will be a 32-page hardcover book featuring art inspired by the music by such artists and illustrators as James O’Barr (best known for writing and illustrating The Crow) and Bernie Wrightson (co-creator of Swamp Thing).

U.S. power noise group Alter der Ruine have announced that they have disbanded. However, in statements from both the band and their current label, Negative Gain Productions, it has been confirmed that their forthcoming final album, There’s Always One More Son of a Bitch (the follow-up to this year’s Son of a Bitch album) will still be released as scheduled. A statement on Alter der Ruine’s Facebook page also left open the possibility of future remix appearances from the band, as well as “material on a different end of the spectrum” which will presumably be released under a different name.

32crash, the collaborative trio featuring Jean-Luc De Meyer of Front 242 and Len Lemeire and Jan D’Hooghe of Implant, will release a vinyl single, Hyperreal, January 20 on Black Rain Records. Limited to 300 copies, the single features eight remixes from the EBM project’s Y2112Y album, which was released earlier this year on Alfa Matrix.
