Peter Murphy will release his ninth solo album, simply titled Ninth, June 7 on Nettwerk. Ninth is Murphy’s first solo album in seven years.

Swedish electro/industrial project Necro Facility will release their third album, Wintermute, June 7 on Artoffact Records. In addition to CD and digital versions, Wintermute will also be released on vinyl in a limited edition of 300 copies, each of which will come packaged with a poster folded in the sleeve. Necro Facility are perhaps best known for their collaboration with fellow Swedish group Covenant on last year’s Lightbringer single.

Doctor Midnight and the Mercy Cult, a new band featuring Turbonegro singer Hank von Helvete, Tim Skold, former Apoptygma Berzerk live members Anders Odden (who has also played in Celtic Frost and Satyricon) and Auden Stengel, among others, will release their debut album, I Declare: Treason, June 6 on Season of Mist. The band has also scheduled several upcoming festival performances in Sweden and Norway.

On June 3, Australian gothic rock group Ikon will reissue their first two albums, Flowers for the Gathering and The Shadow of the Angel, as remastered double-CD sets. Both albums will come packaged with a bonus CD featuring additional rarities and previously unreleased material. The band also plans to tour extensively this summer, including a performance at this year’s Wave Gothic Treffen festival in Germany.

Electro/industrial project Mind.Area will release a new EP, Means to an End, as a free download May 24 via Ionium Records and Aphotic Audio. The album features a collaboration with Empty as well as remixes from Reizstrom and LPF12.

Brendan Perry, best known for his work in Dead Can Dance, will release a new solo album, The Ark, May 24 on The End Records. The Ark is Perry’s first album since Eye of the Hunter, which was released 12 years ago.
